I Was Locked Up In A Psych Ward

At the hairdressers recently, I was asked what I do for a living.

I know where this question leads.

“I do Therapeutic Comedy,” I say.

“Oh, wow. How did you get into that?” They say.

What follows is a summary, of my life, at breakneck speed: Addiction, mental illness, locked up in a psych ward, spiritual awakening, Comedy writing and performance at University. Discovering I could perform my own story through comedy and healing myself and others. Then, training to be a therapist and finally, smashing the two worlds together. Like avocado on toast, it just works.

When I have completed my heavily abridged memoir, I get to hear theirs and trust me. Everyone has a story.

Workshops

We currently have two live workshops available online.
They are safe, process orientated, and DO NOT have a performance element.

All abilities welcome. It doesn’t matter where you are in your journey. You don’t have to be funny or want to be a comedian to benefit. Grab a friend and join me for a day of fun, connection, and healing intimacy. You won’t regret it!
